Convention

At the fall seminar there was an in depth discussion about the future of PPI.  Through the conversation two things were finalized.

  1. 2015 will become a ReInvention Year for PPI.  A year that will not follow any of the “traditional” direction of PPI.  An experimental year to find out what needs to be changed to save the organization.
  2. A committee was formed and Lois Wyant volunteered to head up this committee to explore the ReInvention options for PPI.

Please note that professional photography organizations across the country are struggling just like PPI.

We realize that there will be members that will be upset about the constitution and by laws not being followed, and we do appreciate the importance of these structural devices.  But not knowing what to change or how to change it makes it difficult to follow tools that are not working.  We ask for your patience through this year of exploration to allow for these tools to be set a side and then they can be rewritten to fit the new PPI.

What has been defined for 2015:

There will be two one day seminars.
There will be a print competition, but it will probably be restructured.
There will be 4 half day mini seminars offered at member studios twice a year.
There will be a discounted membership available to those who pay by December 31, 2014 - no exceptions
There will be a regular membership available to those who pay by January 31, 2015 - no exceptions.
All non members will pay for seminars individually

Your input for the PPI ReInvention is important to us.  Please take a few minutes and completely the online survey that will be available through January 9, 2015:
