Code of Ethics

Members of Professional Photographers of Indiana pledge without reservation to the following Code of Ethics.

Presentation of photography and services in a dignified manner. We shall exhibit professional behavior in appearance of studio, place of business and in all forms of public contact.

Professionalism and observance of the highest standard of honesty in all transactions, avoiding the use of false, confusing, inaccurate, and misleading terms, descriptions and claims.

Instill an attitude of delivering photographs of a quality equal to or superior to samples displayed, to apply the best efforts toward producing excellent photographic services and to raise the general standard of photographic craftsmanship.

Recognize fellow members and show a friendly spirit of cooperation to fellow photographers and assist whenever possible should they be in trouble or difficulty.

Obey all laws and at all times avoid the use of unfair competitive practices as determined by any court of competent jurisdiction, the Federal anti-trust laws and related statutes.

Assist fellow photographers, share knowledge with them, encourage them individually and collectively to achieve and maintain the highest standards of quality.

Recognize the authority of PPI in all matters relating to the interpretation of this Code, in accordance with the statutes of the United States and the State of Indiana, the decisions of courts and governmental agencies of competent jurisdictions.

Sincerely and graciously acknowledge the abundance that each of us possesses and encourage the sharing of such with those less fortunate.
